Winemaker’s notes: The third vintage of Buffalo is back and better than ever. This wine’s delicate body makes it very approachable and drinkable, but spending some time with it will reveal its many nuances. Drinking it slightly chilled is best for brunch or picnic menus, but Buffalo will also be a stand-out wine with ethnic spice dishes such as Indian, Ethiopian, or Thai fare.
Ageing Potential: Now – 2023 (safe window to retain freshness)
Additional Notes: The first vintage of Buffalo was aged three years, the second only one year, and this years wine only six months, all in neutral oak. The approach over the years may have shifted, but the identity stays the same: always intriguing, yet also friendly and delicious. Bring this wine to a dinner party and blind taste it. You will not doubt have the crowd “buffaloed.”
