2018 Carhartt Venture™ Top Branch


Composition: 100% Chardonnay

Nose (aromas): savory caramel, lemon curd, apricot, wild violets

Flavor (palate): meyer lemon, sea salt, fresh sliced green apple

Winemaker’s Notes: This wine’s heightened acidic profile will pair well with so many dishes, most classically any meaty fish like halibut or cod, in addition to anything you can serve with butter or cream sauce like shrimp, scallops or crab cakes! Equally this wine would do well with simple baked chicken, or even risotto or cream enhanced soups! Use the acidity to your advantage!

Ageing Potential: Now – 2025+

Additional Info: Fact: This is the first Chardonnay Carhartt has ever produced. Fact: I (Chase) vowed (alongside my mom) to never make Chardonnay a long time ago, but as it turns out, almost every country I have ever spent time in making wine, I have made Chardonnay, so I have a bit of experience. Last Fact: I am super proud of this wine and find it to be an example of the less common, but more respected style of Chardonnay in the world.
