2019 Sauvignon Blanc

$25.00

Carhartt and Grassini Vineyard  13.5% abv

Nose (aromas): melon, apple blossom, lime zest, hint of papaya

Flavor (palate): lemon pie, baked apple, silky mouthfeel with a long finish

Winemaker’s Notes: We might serve this wine chilled on warm summer nights alongside some grilled shrimp, smoked fish tacos with jalapeño pico de gallo, and chilled melon soup. The acid in this wine will pair nicely with acidic foods like tomatoes, or balance spices as in Thai food!

Ageing Potential: Now-2024 (it will age longer, but this is when it is most fresh)

Additional Info: This wine is fermented in a mixture of stainless steel and oak barrels, utilizing both inoculated and native fermentations. The different lots ferment at multiple temperature thresholds as well, to promote layering within the aromatics and flavor profile. The wine also goes through partial malolactic fermentation in oak to provide more mouthfeel, and balance the fresh acidity.
